Recipe by Bruno Vanzan

PREPARATION

  1. Make the coffee-flavored Mezcal by cooking it sous vide with coffee beans to infuse their aroma.

  2. Pour the infused Mezcal into a container with oak chips and use a magnetic homogenizer to achieve a uniform texture and promote aging.

  3. Make the orgeat syrup by mixing 500 ml of water with 300 g of sugar and 100 g of ground almonds. Let it sit for 1 hour, then strain and store in the refrigerator.

  4. In a shaker, combine the coffee-flavored Mezcal, orgeat syrup, Hausbrandt Gourmet 100% Arabica espresso, and coffee liqueur.

  5. Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds.

  6. Strain the drink and pour into a previously chilled low glass.

  7. Garnish with colored dark chocolate leaves and, for a finishing touch, add a flavored purple leaf.

  8. Serve and explain the meaning of the drink, inspired by the roots that connect trees at a deep level, celebrating the harmony between the ingredients.
